UPGRADING YOUR COPY OF COMPOSITEPRO

If you purchased CompositePro after January 1997 (final dash number on the diskette should be 134 or greater) you are probably eligible for a free upgrade to the latest version of CompositePro.

If you purchased CompositePro prior to the end of January 1997 (final dash number on the diskette will be 133 or less) you are eligible for an upgrade to the latest version of CompositePro at a reduced cost of only $398. That’s $197 off the retail price.

COMPOSITEPRO VERSION 3.0

Version 3.0 is scheduled for release in the Spring of 2007! A pre-release version is currently available, and is packaged with all orders. If you purchase the current version of CompositePro you become eligible for a FREE UPGRADE to version 3.0 once it becomes available.

The following features have been incorporated into the BETA version:

  • Laminate Survey Module - Calculate properties and strengths for a family of laminates in tabular form
  • Fabric Builder Module - Fabric/broadgood lay-up and material analysis
  • Filament Winding Calculator – Key in each layer of your filament wound lay-up using the angle and number of winding circuits to accurately predict finished part thickness
  • Pressure Vessel Module - Design and analyze thin wall pressure tanks and pipes
  • 3D Properties – Lamina and Laminate 3D properties for orthotropic materials
  • Thick Wall Vessel – Thick walled cylinder analysis
  • Roving Converter – A handy converter for converting from yield to end area to denier etc.
  • QBars - Display the Q-Bars for each ply of a laminate
  • Mid-Plane Strains/Curvatures - Displays the strains and curvatures at the mid-plane of a laminate given an applied load
  • Global & Local Strains and Stresses - Global or Local ply strains and stresses at the Top, Middle or Bottom of each ply of a laminate.
  • Geometry – Newly added “Hat” section and the “View Section Props” button to view all of the section properties for a given crossection and defined laminate.
  • Radius of Curvature - Calculates the radius of curvature for an unbalanced and/or unsymmetric laminate given a temperature change on a laminate
  • Roving Converter – A handy converter for converting from end area to yield to denier etc.
  • Editing Enhancements – Copy/Paste text from one form to another within CompositePro. Keyed data entry in all Tables using the Enter key. Deletion of material property files from your custom database.
